Summerland House

Current Vacancies:

Role: Staff Nurse

Purpose: To provide and supervise the delivery of high quality nursing care to residents in accordance with up to date, evidence-based professional practice and company policies.

Reporting to: Matron or her deputies in her absence

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
RN1 Diploma – Essential
RN1 Degree – Desirable or working towards
VQ Assessors Award – Desirable
Assessor/Supervisor for Student Nurses – Desirable

INCENTIVES
After 1 year’s service Staff Nurses will be paid Bi-Annual Retention Bonuses
After 6 months’ service Staff Nurses are also eligible to join the Company Health Insurance Scheme

Role: Care Assistant

Purpose: To carry out a range of duties under supervision. To ensure high quality care is delivered to residents

Reporting to: HCAs, Assistant Practitioner, RNs, Matron

EXPERIENCE
Previous work in a Care or Nursing environment is desirable and preferable, but we will accept applications from those with no experience.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
A mature outlook, with work/life experience
Ability to work as a Team, but also able to undertake tasks on your own
Excellent communication skills
Ability to maintain accurate records
Willingness to learn and to undertake mandatory in-house training

Purpose: To ensure that the high standards of cleanliness throughout the Home are maintained.

Reporting to: Matron and her deputies, Nursing Director

Responsibilities
General domestic cleaning & tidying
Assisting with the serving of Residents’ breakfasts
Our Domestic Assistants are responsible for the cleanliness of our Home. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Deep cleans when required
Removal of domestic & clinical waste
Reporting of any maintenance issues
Experience
No experience is necessary, but you must have a willingness to learn and be open to change
Skills & Qualifications
You need to be able to effectively communicate with with colleagues, residents and visitors
You need to be able to work independently and as part of a team
You must ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times and that Company Policies are followed
You must ensure the safety of our residents and respect their property
Be prepared to undertake mandatory annual online training
