Care Assistant
The Position
We are looking for a full time (36 hours per week) Care Assistant to work at Summerland House Nursing Home, to start work in September.
The right person will carry out a range of duties to ensure high quality care is provided to our Residents.
Responsibilities
Carry out a range of duties in order to provide high quality care to residents in our Nursing Home.
Assist residents with activities of daily life, such as washing, dressing, eating and mobility
Act as an advocate to residents in your care and always act in their best interests
Experience
Previous work in a Care or Nursing environment is desirable and preferable, but we will accept applications from those with no experience.
Skills & Qualifications
A mature outlook, with work/life experience
Ability to work as a Team, but also able to undertake tasks on your own
Excellent communication skills
Ability to maintain accurate records
Willingness to learn and to undertake mandatory in-house training
Benefits
Starting pay is £12.54, which increases to £13.14 after 6 months successful probation.
Enhanced rates for night and weekend shifts and Bank Holidays
4 weeks holiday (pro-rated)
Staff are encouraged and supported to further their skills with internal training and external qualifications should they wish to.
